THE BIBLE IS...

The Bible is God's word. It teaches the history of mankind's creation and fall, and the promise of salvation through Christ. Psalm 119:105, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 2 Timothy 3:16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Isaiah 40:8, The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. 2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

MY IDENTITY AS A CHILD OF GOD

MY IDENTITY AS A CHILD OF GOD

I am washed:
Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Tit. 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Sanctified- set apart, growing in holiness, fit for the masters use.

I am Justified- accounting the guilty just before God. By grace through the shed resurrection blood of righteous Jesus Christ.

All things are new 2 Cor. 5:17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I have passed from death to life. John 5:24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

I am forgiven. Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (unmerited favor) Heb 9:12. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

I am Redeemed- Salvation by sacrifice, delivered from the curse of the law, bondage of the law of inequity, our enemies, destruction, death, the grave. All this is accomplished by God's power, Christs blood, Gods grace.

I am born from above. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

I am a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Cor. 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Cor. 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I am sealed by the Holy Spirit. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

I am dead to sin and alive to Christ. Rom. 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. I have been set free from sin. Rom. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

I have been set free from the law of sin and death. 1 Cor. 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Cor. 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Cor. 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 1 Cor. 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I now live according to the spirit. Rom 8:11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

I am a child Of God. Rom 8:16, 17. The spirit Dearth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. And if children then Heirs: Heirs of God, and joint -heirs with Christ, If so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.

I am more than a conqueror. Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I have power, love and a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us a spirit of Fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Acts 1:8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I am the seed of Abraham and heir to the promises of God. Gal 3:29, And if ye be Christ's thee are ye Abraham's seed and heirsaccording to the promise, Gen 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, And curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

GOD IS A PERSON

Personality involves existence with the power of self-consciousness and self-determination. To be self-conscious means to be able to be aware of one's self among others.

Thus as a person God exhibits all those elements involved in personality
(1) He creates Genesis 1:1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
(2) He destroys Genesis 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; Genesis 19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; Genesis 19:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
(3) He provides Psalm 104:27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. Psalm 104:28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good. Psalm 104:29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust Psalm 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
(4) He promotes Psalms 75:6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. Psalms 75:7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
(5) He cares 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(6) He hears Psalm 94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?Psalm 94:10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
(7) He hates Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
(8) He grieves Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
(9) He loves John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

THE NATURE OF GOD

"God is a spirit is incorporeal, invisible. Without material substance, without physical parts or passions and therefore free from all temporal limitations.

"John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

An Anthropomorphic expression is a term which is used to explain some function or characteristic of God by using words descriptive of human elements. Such expressions do not mean that God possesses these physical parts. He is a spirit. Rather, they mean since God is spirit and eternal, he is capable of doing precisely the functions which are preformed by these physical properties in man.

THE DEFINITION OF GOD

There is but one only living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body parts, or passions, immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most wise, most holy, most free, most absolute, working all things according to the counsel of his own immutable and most righteous will, for his own glory: most loving, gracious, merciful, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgressions, and sin; the rewarder of them that diligently seek him, and withal most just and terrible in his judgments; hating all sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty.

Do pets go to heaven when they die? Will I ever see my dog again?

We owned an Australian Shepherd dog who lived to be over 15 years old. He was a member of our family and greatly loved. God kept him healthy and happy but as with all who live on this earth at the present time, death is inevitable. We would love to see our dog someday but our emotions or feelings cannot get in the way of teaching true biblical principles.

This is a subject to which we really don't have a solid biblical scripture to support a viewpoint and therefore cannot teach that pets go to heaven. The Bible is silent on this subject. For those who would preach against pets in heaven, truth is, no one knows for sure. The bible mentions nothing about it. To say that pets do not go to heaven is just as erroneous as to say that they do. We simply do not know.In this case, since there is no clarity from the Word of God on this subject, the saying goes, ''you cannot argue a doctrine from silence." God's Word does not offer a defective answer to this question.

We realize there a few popular Christian TV personalities who are promoting the ''Animals go to heaven'' doctrine but we, as bereans at this ministry, cannot agree from a Scriptural standpoint. Anyone may twist Scripture to fit anything their hearts desire but that does not mean that their teaching is correct. God's Word must be rightly divided and taught.

In these last days, there is so much focus on the worship of animals and nature with a disregard for human life and the unborn child. We must be careful, as believers in Christ Jesus, that our hearts are in the right place and our locus- in the right direction. The Lord gave us His Word to read and to study. In it, the Lord instructs us to take care of the fatherless, widows, to feed the hungry, and above all else to preach the glorious Gospel message to the whole world-- that Jesus saves and Him alone. When we shift our teaching onto presumptions- ie: pets go to heaven-- rather than teaching concise biblical principles, we will find ourselves drowning in error.

We, as Christians, believe that God can do anything and nothing is impossible with Him. God is the giver of life and He certainly could breathe life back into our pets someday, if He so chooses but as much as we love our pets, we do not live for them and really should not think about or focus on what we do not know with certainty. The Bible is silent on this subject so why speculate?

What God's Word does tell us is that we walk in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We must obey the Great Commission that Jesus gave us. We must tell others the good news-- that Jesus saves!

PREACHING THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
Our focus must be on winning PEOPLE for the Lord Jesus Christ and preaching the Gospel for the Lord Jesus told us to win the lost. Jesus died for human beings-- those with a free will to choose right from wrong.
Animals, as cute and sweet as they are-- are NOT HUMAN beings.

Our pets enhance our earthly life with joy and friendship but they cannot take the place of real people or our relationship with the Lord. In a secular world that focuses so much on the creature rather than on the creator- and in fact 95% of the time the world denies it has a creator- the Christian's priority should be to get to know their Creator more by reading the Bible and developing a relationship with Him. Our focus must not be on the creature but rather on the Lord God, who made them. Our praise should be directed to the Lord for the wonderful things which He created.

Animals In the Future Kingdom
We know that God never intended death to be present on this earth when He originally created everything. God created everything good. The sin of man brought about death for every creature. We know that Christ Jesus conquered death when He rose from the grave and that someday death, too, will be abolished upon the earth. (Rev. 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
We know that the New Jerusalem will be about three-fourths the size of the United States. If one city will be that large, one must conclude that the new earth will be a very large place able to accommodate many people, animals and creatures. The Bible says that Jesus will make all things new someday. Because of Adam's sip; death is in this world at the present time. Jesus is the Second Adam. The Last Adam who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead and conquered the grave. The Lord Jesus will restore peace someday on this earth and all things will be as they were in the beginning when God first placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. There will be no more death, no more sin, no more tears, no more sorrow, sadness or woe.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me: It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

With that said, we know that whatever the Lord chooses to do will be the best. We put our trust in Him and in Him alone. When Jesus reigns as King, it will be a glorious place and we will forever be in the presence of the Lord. There will be so much joy when Christ Jesus reigns.

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulnessof Joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

JESUS IS THE VICTOR OVER DEATH
Jesus is the Victor over death. Jesus conquered death when He rose again from the dead. Jesus has the keys of hell and of death.
Rev 1:18 (Jesus said) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Whether our pets are in heaven now or whether the Lord chooses to bring our pets back from the dead is something we just don't know. What must be realized is that our hope and focus MUST be upon Christ Jesus. God's word promises us in l Cor 2:9, But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

So we must love the Lord and put our hope in Him. He knows what is best for us and for our deceased pets. We trust in Him.

Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.Psalm 84:12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusted in thee.
1Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

OUR FAITH AND HOPE MUST BE IN THE LORD!
1 Peter 1:18
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Our hope and our trust must be in the Lord! As believers in Christ Jesus, we have a wonderful inheritance waiting for us. We are joint heirs with Christ.
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

This says that we are, "heir: of God, and joint-heirs with Christ".

Col. 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

CONCLUSION:
We must have the mind of Christ and we must be careful not to worship our pets or love our pets more than we love the Lord or each other. We must worship the Lord who made all things good. We must obey God's Word, which tells us to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We must not be led into the error of speculating things about God's Word that are not written within the Bible. We must remember that whatever God has in store for His children will be beyond our greatest expectations. So in saying that, we put our hope and our trust in Him alone and we will not lean upon our own finite understanding.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Strengthen my mind with the word.

Oh My Father in Heaven, I ask you to help me. If it be your will let my mind be opened to receive your word. Then let the word be like heavy stones unable to be moved, unless moved by you. Let no one pluck them out of my mind, unless it is you doing the plucking.

Likewise, I ask you to let no one place words that are not of you in my mind. Not even myself cannot be trusted. For my own words are corrupted. Therefore, I ask you to take all words that are corrupt in my mind and toss them out.

Then Father I ask you to place a stronghold upon my head. Let it be that neither the devil or his followers are able to open the stronghold. Thus they are not able to pluck out what you alone has placed in my mind. Let what is in my mind only be for you and your purpose. Amen.

GOD -v- SATAN

GOD -v- SATAN
As children of God, we should understand that our Heavenly Father is GOOD. His foremost motivation in our lives is to make us the best people we can possibly be. Everything He does while dealing with us in our Christian lives, is to develop our potential to the greatest possible degree.
On the other hand, Satan is totally EVIL. He dose everything he can to stop us from becoming what God wants for us to become.
Jesus gives us Satan's job description in John 10:10 when He says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy '' then he tells us his job and why he came. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The actual full verse is below.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
To better understand who God is let's look at the attributes or characteristics of God that He has revealed about Himself in His Word to this point in time.
ATTRIBUTES OF GODGOD IS:
1. SPIRIT 2. HOLY- He has never been touched by sin. 3. ETERNAL- He has always existed
4. INFINITE- without limits except when He has limited Himself by His Word
5. OMNIPRESENT- everywhere at once. 6. OMNISCIENT- all knowing. 7. OMNIPOTENT- all mighty. 8. TRUTH- He never, ever lies. 9. JUST- 100% fair in His actions with us.
10. RIGHTEOUS- totally good. 11. LIFE- He isn't just alive...He is Life. 12. IJNCHANGEABLE-
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
13. SOVEREIGN- absolute supreme ruler. But His Sovereignty is in complete harmony with His other attributes.God never ever steps out of character in any one of His attributes.
14. LOVE- He is the most loving personality in the universe.15. FAITHFUL- absolutely trustworthy.16. MERCIFUL- beyond human comprehension.17. PROVIDENT- watches over and cares for His creation.
GOD'S ATTRIBUTES NEVER GET OUT OF BALANCEWITH EACH OTHER. HE NEVER ACTS OUT OF CHARACTER.
For this reason we can have confidence and total trust in God's judgment concerning our lives. He will ALWAYS do what is best for us with out fail. He is completely wise, good and just. His love for us is beyond all understanding. His love is so great it cannot be measured. He is absolutely trustworthy. So why would anyone ever want to disregard His advice in leading his or her lives?
Now, what about the enemy? His character? What does the Bible reveal about him?
ATTRIBUTES OF THE DEVIL
THE DEVIL IS:
1. A liar 2. A murderer 3. A sower of discord 4. An adversary 5. Cunning 6. Wicked
7. Malignant- totally evil 8. Cowardly 9. A tempter 10. A thief 11. Without principles 12. Proud 13. Deceitful 14. Fierce and cruel 15. Aggressive 16. A destroyer
As we compare these two lists of attributes who do you suppose causes sickness and suffering in the human race? If you answered Satan you would be correct in saying so. In truth Satan is the cause for nearly all sickness, natural disaster, and all unnatural disasters. If it is evil, it comes from Satan. God will not use Evil to persuade us to do Good.
